My New Job

If you read Justin Lahart’s Ahead of the Tape column in today’s Wall Street Journal carefully, you may have noticed that he quoted Brad Setser of Roubini Global Economics, not Brad Setser of the Global Economic Governance Programme at University College, Oxford.

So this seems as good a time as any to note that I have a new job.

Admittedly, formally joining Roubini Global Economics is not much of change in practice, and I remain affliated with the Global Economic Governance Programme at University College, Oxford. But for the immediate future, most of my attention will be directed toward Roubini Global.

And, happily, this blog is part of my job.

If you access my blog through Roubini’s global macro web page, you already know that Nouriel has made some big changes (upgrades, we hope) to his global macro page. But if you are not in the habit of checking out the broader site, I suggest that you go over, register, and take a look.

The main page contains links to an amazingly wide range of articles of interest to those trying to follow and understand today’s global economy. Over time, it should only grow. Look, for example, for the "New Bretton Woods System" page to soon contain the links I use to track global reserve accumulation and foreign central bank financing of the US. And if you have ideas for additional topics that the Roubini Global Monitor should cover, do let me (or Nouriel) know.
