Below is a visualization and description of some of the most significant incidents of political violence in Nigeria from November 13 to November 19, 2021. This update also represents violence related to Boko Haram in Cameroon, Chad, and Niger. These incidents are included in the Nigeria Security Tracker.

 

 

  • November 13: Twelve soldiers and fifty Islamic State in West Africa (ISWA) militants were killed during a clash in Askira/Uba, Borno.
  • November 13: Herdsmen killed four in Logo, Benue.
  • November 13: Kidnappers abducted two in Calabar, Cross River.
  • November 14: Bandits kidnapped four in Rafi, Niger State.
  • November 14: Fulani bandits kidnapped eleven in Isoko South, Delta.
  • November 14: Bandits killed forty-three in Goronyo and Illela Local Government Areas in Sokoto.
  • November 15: Gunmen killed a chief's son and kidnapped his daughter in Ado, Benue.
  • November 15: Herdsmen killed two in Akure North, Ondo.
  • November 15: Bandits killed one National Security & Civil Defence Corps officer in Sokoto, Sokoto.
  • November 15: Gunmen killed five in Ikpoba-Okha, Edo.
  • November 15: Bandits killed three in Sabon Birni, Sokoto.
  • November 16: Sectarian violence led to two deaths in Wukari, Taraba.
  • November 16: Bandits killed one and kidnapped sixty-eight in Munya, Niger State.
  • November 17: Bandits killed six in Sabon Birni, Sokoto.
  • November 17: Cameroonian separatists crossed the border and killed eleven in Takum, Taraba.
  • November 17: Police officers killed one gunman in Owerri, Imo.
  • November 18: Boko Haram militants kidnapped twenty-two in Shiroro, Niger State.
  • November 18: Gunmen killed seven in Katsina-Ala, Benue.
  • November 18: Two police officers and two bandits were killed during a clash in Safana, Katsina.
  • November 19: Nigerian troops killed eleven ISWA militants in Damboa, Borno.
  • November 19: Sectarian violence led to two deaths in Lafia, Nassarawa.
