I sat down today with my colleague Max Boot to discuss his new book, The Road Not Taken: Edward Lansdale and the American Tragedy in Vietnam. It was a far-ranging discussion about the Vietnam War and its legacy.

You can watch the video of our discussion below or on Facebook. You should also check out Max’s other books: Invisible Armies: An Epic History of Guerrilla Warfare from Ancient Times to the Present; War Made New: Technology, Warfare, and the Course of History, 1500 to Today; and The Savage Wars of Peace: Small Wars and the Rise of American Power.
