Charles “Chip” Kaye is the CEO of Warburg Pincus. Kaye started his career at Warburg Pincus in 1986 and has served the firm as CEO for the past two decades. Kaye led Warburg Pincus’ entry into Asia in 1994, building one of the first global private equity firms to enter the region. He has continued the firm’s long-standing reputation as a growth investor, establishing Warburg Pincus as a strong partner for management teams at all stages of development across industries and geographies. Kaye is vice chairman of the Board of Trustees of New York-Presbyterian Hospital. He is also a member of the Private Equity Taskforce of the Sustainable Markets Initiative. He is a graduate of the University of Texas at Austin and is based in New York, New York.
